Seoul Autumn Festa 2026: Choose the Show and Correct Venue

There is no single gate where you can arrive and experience all of Seoul Autumn Festa. The 2026 season connects performances across Seoul from September 18 to November 29, according to the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture. To make a useful evening plan, choose a particular production and its theater before choosing transport.

This matters for visitors who find an old advertisement for a riverside opening event. Its location and hours do not describe every show in the season. Some productions take place indoors, charge admission and have age restrictions. This researched article explains how to move from the festival name to a usable booking, with an actual October listing as an example.

Correct the calendar before choosing a performance

The city's March 24 announcement originally described September 19–November 29 and 204 performances and events. The current foundation page gives September 18–November 29, or 73 days. Use that updated season period, then the individual production's date for an actual visit.

The numerical size of the season is not a promise of hundreds of options every evening. Nor does November 29 mean that a show seen in a September advertisement continues until then. A production may appear only on a few dates within the larger period.

Find the information beneath the festival branding

On the official Autumn Festa site, the section labelled 참가작 / Performing Arts Contents leads toward individual entries. The home page also groups suggestions under themes such as tourists, music, dance and families. These are discovery aids, not proof of translated dialogue or suitability for every child.

Open a production's detail page and match these fields:

Field on the listing The decision it supports
일자 / Date and 시간 / Time Which day and session you will attend
장소 / Place The exact theater or outdoor stage to navigate to
소요시간 / Running Time When the performance should finish, including any stated interval
가격 / Price and 예매처 / Booking The seat category and authorized sales route
권장관람연령 / Recommended Age Whether the production's stated age condition fits your party
편의정보 / Accessibility Which facilities are listed, before discussing individual access needs

These labels were checked on a live production page. Availability, refund terms and the payment methods offered during checkout still belong to the ticket seller. A festival directory entry is not a reservation.

Worked example: Double Bill: Sinawi, October 8–11

The festival entry for the National Dance Company of Korea and the National Theater's own performance page agree on these details: Haeoreum Theater, October 8–11, with Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Friday through Sunday at 3 p.m. The running time is 90 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.

Listed seat prices are KRW 70,000 for V, 50,000 for R, 30,000 for S and 20,000 for A. The theater states an elementary-school-age-and-up condition, with its listed birth-date cutoff of December 31, 2019. The venue contact is 02-2280-4114. Check the exact date and remaining seats through the linked theater or NOL Ticket route; this article does not claim any seat is available.

For the Friday, Saturday or Sunday session, a 3 p.m. start plus the listed duration suggests a finish around 4:30 p.m. That is a planning calculation, not a guarantee of the actual curtain time. It illustrates why an “autumn night festival” assumption would send you there several hours late.

Build the journey around the selected theater

Use the venue link within the production entry. For this example, it identifies Haeoreum Theater at the National Theater of Korea, 59 Jangchungdan-ro, Jung-gu. Searching only “Seoul Autumn Festival” is too broad to choose a station or meeting place.

If a companion needs step-free access, ask about the complete route to the assigned seat. An accessibility icon for a toilet or elevator does not establish whether your booked seat is suitable. For dialogue-led productions, ask about surtitles before paying; an English synopsis describes the work but does not translate the performance.

For an outdoor selection, read that production's cancellation notice rather than borrowing another event's rain policy. For an indoor selection, check late-entry and cancellation conditions with its seller. Once the show is fixed, plan your departure from that venue. There is no shared closing time or citywide festival shuttle established by the season announcement.
