October 11 is the last announced foreign-visitor date for the autumn 2026 Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour. On October 9, the authorized booking page's calendar showed that date disabled. That observation does not establish why it is unavailable, but it does mean this article cannot promise that tickets remain. If you already have a reservation, the most important detail is your meeting point: Geumhomun Gate, 금호문, rather than Donhwamun.
The tour is a guided palace evening of about 100 minutes, not an ordinary admission ticket that lets you wander independently after dark. KTO's August 24 announcement describes a lantern walk, a bamboo-flute performance, Buyongji Pond and refreshments with traditional performances at Yeongyeongdang. This is a source-based booking and arrival check, not a firsthand review.
The four dates and their language sessions
The foreign-visitor dates were September 20, September 27, October 4 and October 11. The first three have passed as of this update. KTO lists Japanese at 19:10, Chinese at 19:15, and English at 19:20, 20:00, 20:05 and 20:10. All times refer to Korea.
The wider Korea Heritage Agency autumn program runs September 10 to October 17. That wider range does not add more foreign-language dates. Do not book a Korean-commentary session and assume English interpretation is included.

Use the end time as a planning estimate, not a guaranteed finish. A dinner reservation or train departure immediately afterward would leave little room for group movement and exiting the grounds.
The correct booking route for foreign visitors
Follow the Creatrip product linked directly by KTO. The organizer identifies Creatrip as the foreign-session seller; its Ticketlink lottery instructions serve a different booking route. Creatrip lists advance booking only, up to two tickets per person, with no gate sales. It gives a deadline of 23:59 KST two days before the event. For October 11, that calculates to October 9, but a deadline does not guarantee inventory.
The organizer's reference price is 30,000 won per person. Creatrip displays localized currency and membership offers, so read the final checkout amount rather than treating a converted figure in an old article as fixed. This review did not make a purchase or test a foreign card.
The dates and official seller are independently consistent across KTO and the organizer. Their historical booking-opening dates differ, however: KTO says August 28 while the organizer says August 24. Both dates have passed. The live product and your confirmed reservation are the useful documents now; this article does not present either old opening date as a new sales opportunity.
Passport, age and the changed gate
The organizer limits these sessions to eligible foreign visitors and excludes accompanying ordinary Korean nationals. Its age rule permits children born in 2019 or earlier; minors born from 2008 through 2019 need a guardian. Creatrip's English page inconsistently says 'before 2019' while also including 2019 in its minor range. For a child born in 2019 or a Korean national with overseas permanent residency, obtain clarification before purchase. Do not resolve an eligibility ambiguity by guessing at the gate.
Creatrip requires the physical passport and reservation details for both the booker and companion. Check-in starts 20 minutes before the session, and it asks visitors to arrive at least 10 minutes early. The language cannot be changed on site. These are the seller's stated instructions, replacing this article's former unsupported 45-minute requirement.
The organizer explains that Donhwamun repairs moved the meeting point to Geumhomun. Save the Korean name 금호문 with your confirmation. The palace's general address, 99 Yulgok-ro, identifies the site but not the registration desk. Creatrip describes access from Anguk Station, Line 3, exit 3, with an approximately ten-minute walk. Allow additional time to locate event staff; that extra buffer is editorial advice.
Cancellation depends on the ticket you bought
For this foreign-session product, Creatrip states a full refund three days before the event and no refund two days before. Thus an October 9 booking for October 11 falls within its stated no-refund interval. Read the dated terms shown with your own purchase if availability reappears.
Do not substitute the general Ticketlink notice's previous-day cancellation deadline. Different sellers' procedures are not interchangeable. For reservation questions, the product lists help@creatrip.com; the organizer lists 1522-2295 for event inquiries.
The seller says severe-weather cancellation receives a full refund and that routes can change during rain. A forecast alone is not a cancellation message. Check the booking email before travelling, and avoid buying a replacement activity until you know whether your tour is proceeding.
If you cannot secure this dated tour, do not arrive expecting walk-up entry or carry its 2026 terms into a future season. A daytime palace visit is a separate product; it does not include this evening's performances or access. Keep the Moonlight Tour as one optional booking in your Seoul trip, rather than a condition on which the rest of the trip depends.
