Daegu's Stamp Road 20 runs from September 21 to October 18, 2026. It can add a small activity to a visit you already want to make, but it should not determine your travel budget. The promotion uses Cashwalk's Teamwalk service, and the reward is a shared pool of app cash, not a fixed payment for every visitor. KTO event listing

For a short visit, Seomun Market is a concrete starting point. It appears in the actual campaign, has its own rail station, and offers a reason to go even if app registration fails. This article separates that visit from the promotion's eligibility, which has not been confirmed for every foreign visitor's phone or account.

Open the actual challenge, not a similarly named stamp tour

Use Daegu's official Teamwalk challenge, titled 대구로 여행가는 가을 : 스탬프 로드 20, under 대구문화예술진흥원, the Daegu Culture and Arts Promotion Agency. The page lists the same September 21 to October 18 period as KTO.

The campaign includes Seomun Market, Modern Alleys (Gyesan Yega), Suseongmot Lake, Daegu Art Museum, Daegu Gansong Art Museum and other locations. Do not substitute a nearby attraction for the app's specific checkpoint. In particular, 'Modern Alleys' is qualified by 계산예가, not permission to check in anywhere in the district.

Open the 보상 (rewards) tab to see the stamp list. Check the active checkpoint in the app before walking toward it. The website warns that app-activated stamps are not fully displayed on the web. A browser list is useful for planning; it is not proof that your account has received a stamp.

What the reward numbers actually mean

The reward screen, checked October 9, specifies:

The site's explanation says your estimate rises with your valid stamps and falls as the total accumulated by participants increases. It is therefore not a guaranteed amount per stop. The displayed dates belong to this Korean campaign; use the app's own countdown if you are travelling across time zones.

Do not equate the word 'cash' with a bank transfer or a travel reimbursement. Redemption is a separate service condition. This review did not test foreign-number registration or redemption. Before planning around a reward, ask the campaign contact 053-430-7334, listed by KTO: 'Can a visitor using a foreign phone number join this challenge and use the reward?' If that cannot be established, visit the market as an ordinary shopper and leave the promotion out of your budget.

A manageable market visit during the remaining dates

Use Seomun Market Station on Daegu Line 3, exits 2 or 3, as the arrival point identified in KTO's market feature. Search 서문시장 in your map app; the market address is 45 Keunjang-ro 26-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu.

An editorial plan is to arrive around 10:00, open the campaign checkpoint before shopping, and then allow an unhurried lunch and market browse. The suggested arrival time is a planning choice, not an event session. The current KTO destination listing gives daytime hours of 09:00 to 18:00, with shop-specific variations and closures on the first and third Sundays.

An older July 11, 2023 KTO feature lists 10:00 to 19:00 instead. Because the official pages differ, treat midday as the practical shopping window and confirm a particular shop if timing is tight.

That matters on the campaign's final day: October 18, 2026 is the third Sunday. Do not assume daytime stalls will be open because the stamp challenge is still running. October 9, 10, 16 or 17 offers a clearer daytime-to-evening option under the normal published schedules, although individual stalls can differ.

If you want the night market

The market operator lists Friday and Saturday 19:00 to 23:30, Sunday 19:00 to 22:30, and regular closure Monday through Thursday. KTO independently lists the same hours. Day-market closure and night-market operation are different schedules.

Avoid filling the gap before 19:00 with extra stamp stops simply because they appear in the campaign. Choose daytime shopping or an evening food visit according to your return journey. The operator allows weather-related changes and has published rain closures; in heavy rain, skip the outdoor night-market plan rather than treating its ordinary hours as a guarantee.

If the stamp does not register

Confirm that you joined the correct challenge and that the app shows the relevant checkpoint as active. Record the displayed error and ask the campaign contact about that specific location. This article does not prescribe a fabricated GPS radius or claim that a screenshot will substitute for an app stamp.

There is no need to complete all twenty locations to make the visit worthwhile. Based on the published threshold and variable reward, one desired stop with a successfully recorded stamp is a more defensible first attempt than a citywide race. Food purchases, transport and any attraction tickets remain your expenses; the reward should be treated as uncertain until collected and usable.
