Pack for a lap-swimming session, not a resort pool. Seoul Olympic Swimming Pool publishes day-admission sessions for non-members, but the right clothing, ticket window and available capacity matter as much as arriving at the building.
The plan below is aimed at adult visitors who can already swim and want an individual recreational session. It is based on the operator's material checked on September 27, 2026. It does not promise admission, provide swimming instruction, or turn a lane-rental announcement into a public ticket.

Decide which kind of visit you mean
The operator maintains separate information for day admission, recurring lessons and lane rental. Start with 일일 자유수영, meaning an individual day open-swim session. The word “free” in a literal translation of 자유수영 means swimming independently here; it does not mean that entry costs nothing.
The day-admission page lists an adult non-member price of KRW 7,000. The broader fee page repeats that price and notes that capacity or seasonal programs can affect access. These are two operator pages, not independent confirmation of a completed visitor transaction.
Lessons require a different commitment
Monthly instruction uses registration periods and class availability. The membership instructions also describe membership procedures. Do not enrol in a course merely because it appears online when your intention is a single swim.
If you need a beginner lesson, ask specifically about instruction suited to your ability and language needs. A shared public session is not a substitute for that support. This recommendation follows the difference between service types, rather than assuming that staff can provide an informal lesson during open swim.
A companion is not automatically a spectator
A person accompanying you may want to look around without swimming. The day-swim fee does not establish visitor seating, poolside access or admission to a competition. Ask where a non-swimming companion may wait, and agree on a meeting point outside restricted changing and pool areas.
No competition ticket or spectator event is being advertised in this article. If your goal is watching a sporting event, use that event's separate organizer notice.
Match the session to the ticket window
For Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the operator lists a morning swim from 09:00 to 12:50 and an afternoon swim from 14:00 to 17:50. Corresponding ticket windows are 08:30 to 12:10 and 13:30 to 17:10. The second Sunday of each month is a regular closure. Day-admission schedule.
The distinction between ticket sales and swimming time is important. Arriving before the session ends is not enough if sales have already stopped. Equally, the gap between sessions should not be treated as uninterrupted swimming time.

September 27 is a Sunday, but a recurring timetable alone cannot establish remaining places. Check the latest notice board and ask the operator before making a long journey. Plan time to locate the desk, understand the payment process, change and shower.
The facility is inside Olympic Park at 424 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul. The official directions list Olympic Park Station on Lines 5 and 9, exits 3 and 4. Use the swimming-pool destination when planning the final walk; reaching the park boundary is not the same as reaching the ticket desk.

What today's lane notice does and does not establish
A notice published September 18, 2026 concerns lane rental on September 27. It gives hourly rental operation from 09:00 to 17:00 except 13:00, and a booking window from September 21 at 00:10 to September 23 at 16:00. The notice's publication date and the use date are different. Official September 27 lane-rental notice.
That reservation window has passed as of this article's verification date. More importantly, those hours describe a separate rental arrangement. They must not replace the day-admission timetable above.
Based on the verified information, an individual traveller should ask about available day-swim admission rather than attempting to book a whole lane from an expired notice. Conversely, a group that needs exclusive space should not assume individual tickets create a private lane.
Bring pool equipment rather than beachwear
The pool's safety and equipment rules require a swim cap and swimming clothing. They list restrictions on beachwear and equipment such as inflatable tubes and snorkels. They also require showering before entering and following the assigned lanes and staff instructions.
Choose ordinary fitted lap-swimming clothing and bring goggles, a towel and washing supplies as a practical packing plan. Confirm any specialized garment or equipment with the desk beforehand. This is especially useful if you normally swim with training aids or clothing that could be classified differently by another facility.

Do not assume towels, caps or swimwear are included in the entry price. The material reviewed here does not establish a rental package. Pack a bag for wet items and allow time to shower and change after the swim.
The rules prohibit casual diving and restrict starting-block use to lessons. They also instruct swimmers to observe a cycle of 50 minutes swimming and 10 minutes rest. Ask staff which lane is appropriate before entering, particularly if you are unfamiliar with the local lane arrangement.

Children need a separate eligibility check
The official pages contain overlapping restrictions involving school age and 140 cm, alongside a guardian-accompaniment exception for some school-age children. One day-admission line also uses a birth-year cutoff. Their wording is not consistent enough to reduce to a universal permission rule.
Families should give the desk the child's age, school status and height and ask for the rule that applies to the intended session. This article does not resolve that ambiguity by guessing. The focus remains adult independent swimming.
Leave room for a changed plan
Capacity limits mean a valid timetable is not a reserved place. If admission is unavailable, ask about a later session before paying for an unrelated activity. Consider a separate park visit only if weather and your schedule make that worthwhile; do not treat it as compensation promised by the pool.
For uncertain health or swimming ability, choose suitable professional advice or instruction before taking part. If you become unwell in the water, stop and alert staff. This is not a venue in which to test an unfamiliar diving skill or push through symptoms to “get your money's worth.”
The practical success measure is a permitted session that suits your ability and leaves enough time to exit calmly. A shorter swim with the right preparation is preferable to rushing through the ticket window and changing areas.
Quick answers for adult visitors
Is day open swim free of charge?
No. The published adult non-member fee is KRW 7,000. “Open swim” describes the activity format.
Can I use the whole afternoon until closing without a break?
Follow the facility's rest and session instructions. The listed session span is not permission to ignore the posted rest cycle.
Can I bring a snorkel or inflatable ring?
The published rules restrict these items. Ask about any specialized equipment before travelling.
Do September 27 lane-rental hours replace public session times?
No. They concern a different service and an earlier reservation window.
Is entry guaranteed if I arrive when tickets go on sale?
No. Capacity and operational notices still apply.
Can a friend simply sit beside the pool?
That access has not been established by the day-admission rules reviewed here. Confirm companion arrangements with the facility.
